Armchair psychologists and professional listeners... you'll find a lot of those here. And our offices aren't as sterile. Living rooms, corner booths at bars, all night diners and the hood of a car out on a starry night. Just talk, and we'll listen... and give loads of support and maybe even a piece of advice that's worth a damn.
@damian_stark That was beautiful. I'm just currently at a turning point in my life where I seem not to be making ends meet with my job and in desperate need of help and change..but I don't even know where to start. I just hate hating waking up in the morning :(
I hear that. Feeling trapped in a downward spiral is the worst. Lack of direction, seeing the need for change and not knowing where to start... Ugh. It sucks balls to feel so alone. @abjester put the feeling into beautiful perspective in his blog; Sunday, I think it's called.
My suggestion? Take control of your immediate environment. Clean your house, take time to put it in order... rearrange the furniture. You've taken the first unconscious steps in controlling that which you can, but be careful not to step backwards. Once you have control of the immedite, the remote may come into clearer view. Never retreat, never surrender.
