King Cakes...they arrived late Tuesday afternoon, frozen solid from sitting by my back door...they went into the trash.
So, I am in a constant battle with the dry air here; I prefer to not have dry skin and this is the first place I have ever lived that I finished off a bottle of lotion before getting tired of it. I refuse to dry up and look like the wind weathered, sunburned high plains drifter... I went to the local store to pick up some things today and they have a terrible, sad tiny selection of lotions. I have become quite the online shopper since moving here.
It was warm today, low 30s, snow melting. Of course, that means the water will turn to ice tonight, but tomorrow is supposed to be warm again. I need a vacation somewhere that is actually warmer than 30 (although it amazes me that even I have come to think of 34 as "warm"). Perhaps I will skip out on Friday's teacher workday and take a vacation over the long weekend; we have Monday off for President's Day...hmmm, sounds good to me

also, drinking a lot of water helps with dry skin. and avoid really hot baths and showers.
