I'm in the great state of Kansas visiting my family for Thanksgiving. It's been really good to see everyone -- some of my family I haven't seen since my grandma died 2 years ago. It's optimistic to think that we'll all be together again, but everyone has their own life to focus on and I think we'll start seeing each other less and less.

Kansas is as fun as always. I love getting made fun of for being 'punk rock.' "Is it time to go mosh yet? hahahah." It never gets old. It always amazes me how closed minded people can be, but out here it's just that much more apparent.

I drank way way too much last night, but thank god most of my family had already gone to bed by the time I got ridiculous. I talked to a cute boy on the phone really late, and I'm proud to say that I remembered most of it. I think.

Tomorrow night I'm going to see Big D, which I hope will be fun. I'm going with someone who actually likes ska, but what's more -- he likes it more than me! It'll be fun to go with someone who can fully appreciate the beauty of a checkerboard miniskirt. Also, *someone* better not rub anything in my face, as I think I've been pretty fair so far.
