Teachers constantly amaze me. Kudos, man.

(And redesigning the site wouldn't be so bad, if we didn't have to constantly beta-test it as well! I hate how the content -- journal entries and board posts -- drop off considerably after a redesign because people have to reacclimate to the interface!)
judypatricia:
Hey, do you ever get the chance to listen to Pens games from the online radio broadcasts? Or do they usually just come on too late at night, over there?
judypatricia:
Ah, that sucks. And here I am always bitching about how badly it sucks being a Pens fan in New York. wink But yeah, I always listen to the games I can't watch on TV from the Penguins' website. Every game day, they'll link to the radio broadcast in that box on the left where it shows who they're playing and what time. At first I found it torturous to listen to a hockey game and not be able to see what's happening, but I sort of made a little routine for myself and got used to it; plus, getting the call from Mike Lange and Phil Bourque isn't exactly boring.

I am SO excited for game three, today. Sens'll be at the Igloo, and I really, really hope the fans start the Emery chant early, and get under Ottawa's skin.

AW shit...laying down the law.
BwahahahA!
That may be coming in mine too...
we'll see.
Damn laws and rules keep changing..
I can't keep anything straight.
Kinda hard to get control when
it is a seeming revolving door.
(Is that even the right metaphor?)
um.

How the hell did THAT work?
(pay, school, contract?)

Word on the site changing thing.
Ugh.

judypatricia:
The Emery chant's just when the fans at the Igloo try to unnerve Ray Emery, Ottawa's goalie, by chanting his name. The home fans at every game of all the series so far have really worked the goalie chants big-time.

I don't remember why I actually sat down one day and started watching a hockey game on television, but that's pretty much how I became a hockey fan. There was a Penguins-Rangers game on one day, when I was about 12, and the Pens just clobbered them by a score of 7-3. Ken Wregget was in goal, the Lemieux/Jagr/Francis line was out there, Joe Mullen was playing... they just were so fun to watch and from that day on, I totally fell in love with the game and the Pens. I've been a fan for literally half of my life, now. I finally trekked out (alone!) to Pittsburgh in February this year, to make it to some games at the Igloo. I had a great, great time, and for once it was nice to be surrounded by cheering, crazy Pens fans rather than fucking Rangers or Islanders fans.

Dude, I completely get lost every time I log in. Cudos on you guys for hooking your colleague up with the med bills. Lesser people would have stood by.
pip:
So I'm confused, are you just staying forever, or until it's stops being an enjoyable challenge?
roethke:
Thanks! Hopefully something will come of this second chance thingy and I'm not just drumming up attention for nought.
