My membership expires sometime this month and for the first time since I first became a member here I have set it so that it does not automatically renew. The continued fallout from whatever led to both the redesign and the seemingly obvious philosophical departure of the people who manage SG from managing a strong online community to whatever it has become (I still can't figure out what their real mission might be) has resulted in the vast majority of my close friends here leaving or going dark and the destruction of any sort of dialog in the various groups I have participated in for the years I have been a member. I won't go into all of the gory details, it still bums me out, but any of you who were here prior to the armageddon know what I am saying, and frankly if this is all I can expect then I have better things to do.
The only bummer is that there are still a bunch of you fellow members here who I really love, respect and appreciate, as well as one or two SGs who I am really fond of and have enjoyed pleasant interactions with. This was a great place to hang out, and it really isn't any more. To those I leave on watch and holding the fort my thanks and apologies, but I know you understand.
So, feel free to poke around my blogs for as long as they are still around, I'm taking nothing back or down. I'm betting that I spend a lot more time at my work bench laying out joinery and smashing chisels in to sticks of wood. Pitchers & catchers report in a couple of weeks and both MotoGP & F1 testing starts soon. My son is 16 and nearing a drivers license and I'm busy at work and play. Life goes on.

I am deeply grateful to all of you who have shared this community with me and wish you all the best always. I hope my presence here has brought a little light on occasion and lacking that then at least a chuckle.
