Some of you may be aware that I have been quite unwell the past few weeks... Readers digest version is I have been suffering from acute pancreatitis...
Early last month I woke with the most excruciating pain I have ever experienced in my life... massive stomach cramps that just got worse and worse to the point I called an ambulance to transfer me to hospital... at that point I realised I was not even able to drive or bearly to walk...
Once there I was treated like a pin cusion with test after test to confirm what the issue was... Strangely enough pancreatitis is usually linked to alcolism so it was not straight forward as I am a very light drinker at the best of times...
Couple with all of this my gall bladder was infected and ready to explode so my condition had to be stabilised enough to do surgery and remove the bladder...
one more thing just to make it even more interesting one of my lungs colapses in the process...
SO after about 30 hrs in hospital I am admitted to Intensive care to basically relearn how to breathe with the assistance of masks and O2...
Some 7 days later my health was at last stable enough to perform keyhole surgery to remove the gall bladder...
In short it was a really fucking shitty time... one I can not believe transpired so quickly and how much damage it did on my body...
Yes I am home at last... I can not begin to say how much I adore my grrl for her love and care over the past few weeks... I am truly blessed by having such a wonderfully loving and selfless grrl... one I can not even begin to thank...
I have the next week or so off to recoup at home before returning to work... at this point the meds simply knock me for a 6 so I am mostly relaxing and catching brethe til I return to work... I have several more tests and such over the following months but I am indeed thankful for being at home at last
