In Portland? There is so much to do! From the art walks to biking to OMSI. Volunteer and join civic organizations, work part time at an art gallery or area of interest, lots of cool ways to meet people in PDX.
What kind of stuff do you like to do? If you know your own passions then you can meet people with "like" interests and that helps! Have you tried SGPDX?
I used to have problems with being shy, but then I got more confident in myself and didn't care anymore, so I was myself around others. I'm really only shy around lots of people I don't know.
Of course, you're pretty bad ass, so you can probably pull of going up to some random person and saying hi. hahaha
Its not easy, Im a bit shy so usually when I go out I have to be approached.....I always say your gonna meet someone special through someone you know not through a bar or anything like that....
only problem i could see you having is intimidation. i'm often intimidated by attractive and beautiful women. i always think they are too pretty to be single so i don't bother, or that i'm not good enough.
