yeah, theres some pretty sad things still happening to native americans in the states too. putting them on reservations was a dumb idea. it's isolating and just makes problems worse.

i think the canadian aboriginal sadness sweeps across canada entirely, or at least in alberta it's pretty bad. i don't think many people do understand.
really good book you should check out, even though it's by an 'american' native is lakota woman by mary crow dog. it touched me deeply. i'm half native but have never lived the native life.
it's amazing how nobody pays attention to how horrible we've treated them and how horrible and sad things are.

i do totally agree, it's sorta a shitty situation all around. but really if you get a chance, check out that book, it covers all that stuff too.
