I've seen a few shows about taxidermy & some of people featured were self-taught, one of them was a 13 year old girl. Check this website out, she is a taxidermist working out of Oregon & she specializes on Soft Taxidermy. I first saw her work on the Science Channel show Oddities.

Perhaps not taxidermy classes, but I've learned lots of stuff on my own without benefit of formal training.

Anyone can do what they believe they are incapable of doing, you just have to believe that you can do it first.
macgeek06:
Good luck with learning about taxidermy, I self taught myself about Macs and Apple server administration so I suggest a little of both will help but if you find a forum, they can be helpful when stuck in a rut of an issue.
