Okay, I'm back. Not saying this is the case with your friend, but I've had several friends that will hang out and do stuff with me until they get a boyfriend, then I never see or hear from them again (because they put all their time into this person) until the relationship is over, then I hear from them again. They think this is normal and cannot understand whatever would piss me off so much. I did shed myself of them and never contacted them again. If they were to call me and want to talk, that's good, but since none of them seem to be able to use a phone, I know I'll never hear from them again. Stick to your guns, no matter how painful it is. When he gets back in touch with you, feel free to be completely cold to him, or even read him a list of all his faults as a friend. If he can't handle it, give him the hand. But, if by some miracle he smacks his forehead and realizes what a dick he is, and tells you as much and admits you are correct, maybe give him another shot. But definitely don't ever rely on him.

BTW, I think you moving to Chapel Hill would be great!!! Of course, Charlotte has lots of SG peeps who are great too. Now, I'm just saying there's a concentration in these areas, but obviously, there's some fab SGers all over the state. I hope you get to go to SN's b-day party and meet some of the great SGers there.
