Had a barby at the crib last night. Mom's did damage in the kitchen for two days and the world was a better place for it.

I believe we are truly the magnetic centers of our own universes. Having said that, I feel absolutely wonderful about the turn out at my house. I was surrounded by nothing but beautiful, intelligent, and talented people. There was a moment where I sat back and observed. What I saw were about six in depth conversations going on at one time. And I'm not talking idle chit-chat where people's attentions are everywhere but on the person in front of them. I'm talking about people being fully present and engaged, thoroughly listening with interest to what the others were saying, and sharing something personal in return. Such a thing is a rarity in most places...it's completely non-existent in Hollywood.

It's empowering to know that people whom I admire care enough to share their time, their thoughts, and thier hearts with me. For that, I'm truly lucky, and truly grateful.

And, on top of all that, there were lots of nipples.
