Back from my math coma! And boy has it been an educational experience.

Things Dave has learned this year

-Marking cryptography makes me cry blood.
-Applied mathematics is fun and easy compared to pure math, it has all of the cleverness with the added bonus of relevant question asking.
- How to knit
- Definition of polyamory.

The last two on the list are pretty recent..

I met a really intense and interesting girl. She is my polar opposite, she hates science and everything the Western world has brought, believes we all should learn practical skills like knitting and woodcrafting, and yet on the other hand dual boots linux and windows, loves star trek & firefly and considers herself a geek?

By far the most interesting person I have met.

The first time I saw her I knew I could learn a few things from her... Thus far I have learned how to knit and the meaning of polyamory. It seems she has a partner that knows about what she and I do in bed, and yet is totally cool with it.

I was raised Baptist so this blows my mind, even though my dad was a huge adulterer and because of that my parents divorced naturally I got the notion in my head as a child that monogamy was the only way. Apparently I was wrong, one can still be in a loving relationship while getting a little on the sly... as long as the other partner knows and agrees. Further it is better because it promises the prospect of a threesome with her and another boy biggrin

So I hope everyone else is having a lovely holiday season, and a better new year!

I know I will!
