As the issue continues to evolve.. I'm investigating PS4.. lets call it the classic experience before anything major happens.

I ordered it only a few days ago and this morning I was rudely disturbed from my slumber by a UPS truck pulling up and the lady driver hauling some mystery box over.
I was mightily miffed by the $50 shipping charge, but I guess this they had to bring it to quebekistan, some of that money must have gone to government bribes.
Bribery of the $50 sort apparently means a box can get from Cali to Quebekistan and then to my door 2 weeks ahead of schedule.
Literally befuddled now because I haven't been able to play Ark in a little while since the April update for Destiny went live on Tuesday.
So far, every little thing about the classic PS4 experience makes me cry. All these years wasted on Xbox One's disgusting UI and miserable execution on stupid ass shit like playing audio through the controller..
- 1.Plug the Headphones In. Connect any pair of headphones with a 3.5mm adapter into the slot on the bottom of the DualShock 4.
- 2.Hold the PlayStation Button. ...
- 3.Select Adjust Devices. ...
- 4.Turn on All Audio Output.
Simple or not.. holy hell it just works. PS4 hardware makes Xbox hardware look like a complete joke.
I was really worried that if I ever had a good reason to buy PS4 I'd regret sticking with Xbox. Yeah. There's only so much I can really fault with the Software UI experience of PlayStation. It has come a long way since PSOne.
The above article says it all.. MS is doing everything to over Windows 10 but won't. The call it awkwardness.. but it is a long standing conflict of interest that has been pushed so far that the only identity Xbox actually has now is as a brand for users like me that want it pushed to Mobile, and have the Windows 10 app do more. And that's fine too.. but that brand unlike Microsoft Surface is still crawling back up the hill from the pit that Xbox 360 dug out.
Adding Windows 10, and new features and whatever else.. It still doesn't have the same impact as PlayStation.
However.. while my gripes and concerns are significantly fewer than Xbox and Xbox Live, I hate Sony and I hate PSN.
I just can't even put it into words...
An example though is the PSN ID policy. You can't change your PSN ID.
Sony wants you to just make n new accounts until you're satisfied.
And PSN has this happy little button that says Try PSN Plus FREE!! then offers three payment options on the next page.
Free.. what happened to the free option?
And then Destiny, which is a big reason I'm even bothering investigating PlayStation 4.. right now as opposed to later on in the year when it will matter.
Destiny has a DEMO option.. but the demo is 32 gigabytes and takes hours. You're not going to just try Destiny for 5 minutes after the amount of time it takes to just load the game. But I'm sure many people have wiped the game from their console after some short amount of time, Bungie makes money, Activision makes money.. maybe you'll come back some day.
I expected April's much hyped update to have pulled more people in, but it really hasn't.
And I laughed when I saw that one of the guys from Dubai had a hours clocked 5 minutes shorter than mine (after I'd played all day). But that's 134 days of play time (how do two accounts have only 5 minutes of play time difference) I don't even know the odds.
So.. running 3 characters up to 40, and I have 10 days to do it before I go back to work.. that's much more time than I expected.
Enough time to get that all done but there's so much my Xbox Destiny profile will have that my PSN profile won't. Something I'll have to deal with I suppose.
