Why is it suddenly trendy to be prejudice against "ginger" people? I mean, I know it's not terribly serious-- at least, it hasn't been since the mid 20th century-- but it's still not funny. This is, of course, coming from a white ethnic. I wouldn't be surprised if non-Irish people didn't even notice.
I love my black hair, but this makes me want to whack it off. All of it. I have this bright auburn shade underneath that I was eager to get rid of because I got tired of being called a "fire-crotch." Now I sort of regret it. I think I'll let it grow back, and then highlight it an even more obnoxious shade of red.
Yeah, I'm your stereotypical freckled, red-headed chick who eats a lot of potatoes. I'm all for making fun of myself. It's just that some of the things I have been hearing are simply racist. How did all of this shit get started? (Or, should I say, revived?) I don't understand where it all came from. Did a celebrity start bashing "green niggers" after a red-head slapped him at an Irish pub? Did an Irish sports team crush America? Is this going on everywhere, or just where I live?

I don't really understand the prejudice against red-heads either. It seems to be a big deal in British culture. That's something I've noticed having lived here for awhile...back in the states I'd never encountered negative comments regarding red heads....just the usual stuff about freckles and fiery tempers...
Whatever...
