True Story:

I have a military/special forces buddy who likes to talk a mean game about what he can do. In fact I have a lot of funny stories about him.

Well one day we're sitting on my couch and he is drunk and telling me I can ask him any question I want about him. I tell him my standard polite answer. "We're such good friends that i don't need to know anything about you. I like you just the way you are"

He tell ms he knows more about me than he should. I ask what he means. he tells me he knows abot my stint in a detention facility years ago.

I am genuinely surprised and answer with. "I was never in a detention facility". He tells me yes I was. I tell him that no, in fact I wasn't. i wouldn't remember. he tells me there is no need to lie he backround checked me. Ok... that's weird enough as it is. But whatever he's crazy and a good friend so i can get over it.

Finally fed up with his insistence that I did 6 months in a detention facility for posession I say "what year did this happen".

He tells me "1989".

I laugh. He is insulted.


"Mike, in 1989 I was 2 years old. Unless I was smuggling in my diaper you're full of shit... no pun intended."










He got up and walked out of the house redfaced.
