I've got to see this car. I am impressed, because I wouldn't have the first fucking idea what to do under a car.
trilobyte:
Legion of Boom is Legion of Badass... but seriously, stop getting dye at hot topic, Get it online, or find a local purveyor of interesting. Nothing against hot topic, I actually like the chain, but take better care of your head. You should post a pic of you shitting on an air hockey table with the new do... full on poo effect, yo...

You know, I met Bluetrust at matchmaker.com 4 years ago. I'm just saying...
paintedbat:
oh no! Good luck fixing your hair. I'm sure it will look great once it's done. And have fun working on the car.
paintedbat:
I'm working today too. Although 2-8 isn't that bad. kiss
niobe:
I am equally frustrated with my hair color today. Grrrr. But I don't want to pay anyone else to do it.

have a good weekend. smile
hypoxian:
gonna spend my easter working while my family enjoys the day eating and being lazy. frown
have fun under your car.
sid:
Yes, I'm still going. I get a nice hefty refund check next week, so I'm hoping to book the flight by next weekend. I'm bringing my best friend Shawn along.
amitabha:
How long ago were you in London? It's fucking crazy insane expensive! I took 100 pounds out of the ATM and it cost me 188$!

It's 6:24 am and I'm still up from yesteday.. I was out all night dancing like the closet raver that I am.

I've only had one really bad hair dye experience. I tried to dye my hair blue a long time ago, but the dye didn't stick and left a mold tint. I shaved my head... I don't guess that's an option for you. When all else fails, black hair dye works wonders!
trilobyte:
I'm all sorts of into the idea of the listening party, but alas I've already missed the one in LA. Fucking bastards. Clearly I need to be a lottery winner, I could easily fill my social calendar without the need of a day job to fill those tedious weekday hours.

trilobyte:
Catch it as soon as you can. I've heard half of it, FUCKING AMAZING!!!

trilobyte:
The word I've gotten from the shows this week is the new stuff fucking kills. Electro meets industrial - the single is just the tip of the iceberg. My favorite is Getting Smaller, I just want to throw that in the biggest sound system I can and break stuff with sound waves...

trilobyte:
Yeah, it marries electro with the NIN sound the same way that PHM married synth-pop with it. It will turn music on its ear a bit. There's still some serious AOR material in there, and I don't mean to knock on The Fragile, but it's a return to form. Breaks a lot of ground, something he hasn't done in some time...

freckle:
there has to be a better way to do that. have you tried looking on the internet?
trilobyte:
And better still, it's leading down a really cool path. The New Order record has some great sounds in it, but on its own it'd never find much of an american audience. When a more synthetic/electro sound hits mainstream, it cracks the door open...

trilobyte:
It already is... and then later this year I'll get a new Underworld album... muhahaha.... Depeche Mode are in the studio now, but I somehow doubt they'll pull it all together in time to release in the 4th quarter. Stranger things have happened, though... we'll see.

The thing that's surprising me is the amazingly kickass live shows I've been turning away. I'm far from bored with music, or live music. I'm not sure if it's simply a matter of being more focused on other creative endeavors (working on my own stuff) or some of the other art projects and working with others (the stuff I do with Space Island and the underground music scene). Regardless of what it is, I'm curious to see how this all will turn out.

trilobyte:
Yeah, if you didn't pick up on it, check into the remix collection. They went fucking apeshit on that. Remixes 1981-2004 was released in a one-disc version for all the mall chains. A 2 disc special edition was also put out for the fanboys. A 3-disc Limited Edition was released for the serious DJ's (had like 14 new mixes in it). And then a 4th disc was made available as a downloadable purchase.... one of the best compilations I've ever heard - I had most of the singles from over the years, and more than 50% of the content was still new (as well as fresh) to me.

trilobyte:
Well, unlike Trent's more recent discs of mixed slag, these are all bona fide hard-hitting mixes of incredible tracks. Think about how deep the DM catalog goes... they got remix treatments from Goldfrapp to Undeerworld to Rex The Dog to Air to all the heavy duty remix producers over the last 20 years.... like I said, it's an amazing collection.
