I used to work with her... sort of. Before I left to have babies, I was the Administrative Assistant for the then-MA (now MFA) Program at USF (my alma mater). I'm pretty sure Kim was one of our instructors... though she was not one that I got to know. Small world!
Have a great trip. You are so right. Being with loved ones is precious regardless of the occasion.
I am thinking of posting a year end blog in the next day or two. I am planning to list only the positive things that were significant in my life over the past year. There was plenty of negative stuff too, but I would rather leave those things for another time.
Hello lovely Luky!! Good to hear from you, its been a while, but that was probably my own fault, I have so much time on my hands but I'm just so unmotivated at the moment. I'm enjoying the holidays, although I'm currently on a permanent holiday until a job turns up which I'm hoping is soon, I have an interview next week so thats lifted my spirits a little. Dont get me wrong I quite enjoy not working, but I'm not digging this not having money to live situation!
Anyway its good to hear you both had a good christmas, vomiting aside! I'm soooo surprised I managed to contain my vomit, not from drinking, but the amount of food I ate was ridiculous!!! Its safe to say I made a decent sized food baby!
I'm very very proud to be hanging in that bar/restuarant you mentioned for all to see! Its such an amazing piece, Neo did well. I havent checked in here for a while, has he finished the latest portrait?, I'm very excited to see how it turned out!
Maybe I should have Pm'd this, what was intended to be a quick hello has become a novel! Well enjoy the rest of your holidays and New Years, ease up on the booze! xoxo
hello my dear and a happy new year to you to .....have fun here in the bluegrass state make sure you soak enough in here to take back to philly with ya .and again happy new year
Thanks for the props, dear.
My grand-dad was Camel straight's for 60 years, then had to quit after a quadruple bypass. He got 12 more years before with us after that.
Hope the New Year brings only the very best and brightest for you and your honey....and that you get the chance to do something fun for New Years holiday Luky!!
Thank you so much for the New Year's wishes. I also look forward to our continued conversations and friendship. On one hand, I'm sorry that it took so long for us to connect. On the other hand, I'm grateful that we finally met and that we became fast friends.
I was just thinking about how close I felt to you, as well as a handful other people on this site. I realized that I would be in a much darker place if I had never met you and the others. Having friends like you makes me rich in ways that are more important than money.
Once again, I wish you the best of everything for the new year.
I don't know if I did the right thing by posting my latest blog. I was thinking of conveying my thoughts in the form of a pm to a few select friends, one of which would have been you. I decided to express myself publicly so that I wouldn't be a burden to any one individual.
I hope you had a great Christmas and a wonderful New Year! The hoodie went over well, she liked it and I think she liked that I didn't just get her a gift certificate. How have you been?
