SCHOOOOLL'S OUT....FOR...Christmas.... (I'm dancing the running man, but you just can't see me--which is probably a good thing.)
Some down time, though speed Christmas Shopping comes next. I have most everything, except for my mother-in-law (affectionately known as "the Thelma-nator," ) sister-in-law, and I'm not quite through with the hubby yet. Stepson, Zane, turns 21 on Dec. 22, then Christmas comes after.... so he's getting far too much stuff from me.
I arranged to go to Kentucky to visit my own Mom-anator after Jan. 1. We couldn't get it worked out for pet sitting or boarding, so Neo is staying here and I'm waiting until after the holidays, basically, to visit, so I can be with Neo on both Christmas and New Years. Yeah. My last week off before Spring semester, I'll be visiting Kentucky, Mom, cousins, etc. I have a cousin near my age who wears overalls all the time. Requested that, when he dies, he be buried in them. That's my family! My southern accent kicks into overdrive the minute I step off the plane. Neo swears he can't understand a word I say.
Jewelz and Fishy--I'll probably be all whiny about going because I have spent all of one night separated from Neo since we moved in together (7 or 8 mos. before we got married). You two are separated from your loves months at a time, so I'm going to try to be as strong as both of you are in my measly week away.
All that aside, I'm SO glad to have some time off. Whew. Sweeeet!
