Life is good.

I'm sitting here in my new SG jammies and hoodie, comfortably wrapped up in blankets and thoughts.
I really wish I had someone to wash my hair for me. I love having scalp massages, but they aren't as good if you do it yourself. I think part of the attraction is the playful intimacy that comes from having your head cradled in someone's hands.

I would like to be a very fluffy cat sitting in a sunny window in a house that smells of fresh baked pies, with a view of the fiery falling leaves.

I love autumn. It always feels like comfort to me. Autumn feels like home to me, even though my fingers and toes turn icy for nine months. My hands are always cold. I should get gloves.
I love putting on socks fresh from the dryer.

I like being home alone on sunny Sunday mornings and curling up in my grandmother's quilt with a bowl of ice cream and a hot chocolate while the television plays a movie with Molly Ringwald or Meg Ryan.


I miss the smell of my Nana's house...of apple pie and date squares and strawberry jam and love.
