Hello, my new friend. Indeed, yoga is a useful companion in the journey through depression. There is a wonderful teacher in Tuscon, Amy Weintraub, who wrote a book "Yoga for Depression" and teaches classes to other teachers on specific poses to alleviate the physical symptoms of depression. You might be interested in learning more about Anusara yoga as there is a lot of chest and hip opening in the regular practice, something that can help unstick the cold places in the body.
I did yoga for about 15 weeks and it really helped me be less stressed but then, I live in a big city of my patience didn't last until the next class. But it was great. I wish I could still follow classes.
I was really stressed from work and couldn't believe how revived and refreshed I was after my first yoga session. I haven't been for a while because of major surgery but hope to be re-acquainted with it soon.
i tried yoga but it didn't really work for me i dance when i'm stressed its also a good form of excercise so i win both ways (oh i don't mean ballet or stuff like that i mean street more than region)
Well, to destress I use strip dancing/erotic dancing...swinging...movies...restraunts...and martial arts. They all get me happy. I take a form of martial arts known as Kempo, and I've mastered a lot. It has a lot of great kicking moves and because I have these long sex legs that can wrap around your waist while you're plowing me...kick moves are great for me. Beg for me not to show you why. I am also extremely flexible because I have been in martial arts since I was a teen and I can put my legs in the back of my head, I can do a full bridge, and stand on my hands, and I can turn my legs outward and walk with my knees facing the other way...even though it looks pretty gross. Just a little FYI I guess.
