I have never sold any of my works yet, most of my work is purely for my own creative outlet, if someone is interested in my work I would be happy to sell my works. I do client work however and create images for people that want something specific.
Thanks for the interest.
You know where to find me! There is also quite abit of work that I have still not put up on my journal yet, will still have to do it. Thankyou so much, glad to know someone is noticing my work.
Best of luck in your endevour to melbourne, i think melbourne is filled with many friendly people, i think you will no problems finding friends. Last time i was there working on a student film, i just started chatting to the others and a majority of the people were in your situation, from interstate and had moved to melbourne for either study or work. Thankyou for your comments.
Dont worry i am very open minded so I dont think thats weird at all
Yes I have been Vegan for a little over 5 months now, which is not that long i know, i think I have surely learnt alot in that time. I starting adopting a vegan diet however around a year ago.
In regards to my straight edge, i have only decided its for me about a month ago. Its been 6 months however since i had a single alchoholic drink. my last being a glass of champagne at my sisters wedding as a toast, that will be my last. Alchohol is a thorn in my side, i do not like the taste of it, the cost of it, the physical symptoms and how it makes me feel about myself. Drugs and Tobacco which i have both dabelled in the past, I without a doubt i surely do not want to touch again. Alchohol for me sits within the same vain, to me even worse for the fact thats its abused so much due to the fact that is legal.
Your commitments to veganism, vegetarianism and a straight edge lifestyle are inspiring, i understand people do change, sometimes you have no choice, sometimes we just realise something isnt for us, in the end its what makes you happy.
You will always have SG to talk to people including myself. I am normally in melbourne at least once or twice i have been this year although i want to explore other cities next year including sydney and hopefully New York obviously abit further away.
Again best of luck with melbourne, i hope you have no troubles and you meet amazing people, they are plenty of them in this world, they are just hard to find sometimes.
Never been to New York, although through my love to photography I would love to take photos of the city but also visit art galleries to see the work of many greats who have come out of new york city. Nan Goldin & Robert Mapplethorpe to just name two. I also want to hang out with Kaiasauras, shes an absolute sweetie.
Thats great that you have made amazing friends out of the straight edge community. I only have one friend who is straight edge, at my art school, although he has been much longer than me but was thralled with my choices. He is such an awesome person to hang out with.
I would love to hang out if I make it over to melbs.
I am so glad to find someone on here that I can have a decent conversation with just through chat comments its certainly nice, usually its just "i like your photos" which are nice, but i wanna know why you like my photographs.
Dont worry about the whole reply thing, Once i left me comment, i turned the computer off to pack for art school the next day anyways. Thats so awesome that you have been to new york, i would love to hear any stories you have of the city. I was speaking to my lecturer about it today, he went around 18 months ago, and his stories just sent off sparks in my imagination.
Thankyou for your admiration, straightedge and veganism have been amazingly easy for me to adopt, it was a natural progression for me, I have never been a fan of drinking anyway, whether social or binge. Veganism is easy because it has opened me up to such amazing foods, and when i am reminded of why I do this, it overcomes any desire for any food that has animal products. I am nothing but happy with my decisions and its nice to hear someone appreciates it.
It would be awesome to cross paths one day. Id love to find this lost_girl
I certainly love capturing the decisive moment as henri cartier bresson called it. You can learn so much more about life through true photographers whether what you are showing may not be neccesary at the time. the great human struggle.
Vegan pizza is awesome, I always make it at home, i make the base all on my own along with a basil pesto I also make myself. Cannot find a parmesan free pesto in my supermarkets.
I also love root beer or also known as Saspirilla over here. Me and my dad also used to call it burping fuel because of how gassy most sars can be. My favourite Root Beer is Bundaberg Saspirilla although its quite hard to find in supermarkets here, The ginger beer which i dont like seems to be in abundance,
I saw an amazing new zealand hardcore band a few months called antagonist. They have an awesome song about veganism called "Show some heart" its on their myspace page too.
I think i would love new york, it would be such a huge contrast to adelaide, im sure i would love the city, it just seems so alive with enegery, why would i want to experience something so amazing drunk or high on drugs. some of the most experiences in life for me have been experienced sober. i wouldnt want it any othe way.
I love drinking sasparilla because it tastes medicinal and also is caffiene free. Caffiene also something I have also removed from my lifestyle too, i include it as part of my own straight edge philosophy. I used to a crazy coffee drinker, gave that up because i used to get withdrawls if i didnt drink it, not good, and then started drinking green tea but soon gave that up all together.
Yes a camera would be an awesome way to document your adventure. I own a Nikon FM2 which is a 35mm film SLR, but am going to save up for a Nikon D80 Digital SLR. I still love film but its becoming scarce thats for sure. It would also be removing another animal product from my lifestyle, gelatine.
There is very few bands in Australia that are straight edge, i only know The War from byron bay/brisbane and xWishForWingsx, a favourite of mine that dont put x's on their name anymore and have not played their straight edge song "Face the Jury" in their last two shows in adelaide, so dont know whats going on there.
Plenty of bands with members that are straight edge however.
