Sometimes those types of relationships are best at becoming just friends. I have had these same kind of relationships in the past... If they don't escalate to a nasty break up they usually end up in long time friendships. It's good to have people to knock the ole ego down a few notches sometimes. But if you both really like each I am sure you can find a way to make things work. Patience and compromise are the keys. Good luck to you.
