There's the Sony centre at Morningside that's were I bought my Vaio. Gonna need to head there myself next week if I get the chance. My baby's stopped reading cd's, although dvd's don't seem to be a problem. I hope they can help with a solution that doesn't hit me in the pocket too hard.
maybe it's my awful luck, but I'm bumping into computer science students all the time, it's good for when my computer fails though. It could be the fact that i live with one of the few female CS students - any geek with boobs seem to attract ten times as many without boobs. or something. good luck getting it fixed.
PC still busted?
I had to ship a Vaio off to be repaired last week, it goes to France because it's a warranty job.
The Sony centre in Morningside really weren't much help, don't know if you've already tried them.
