The good news is we found an apartment. At the moment, there is no bad news. We'll be in the Garden District, so it's not walking distance to school, but is is walking distance from St. Charles, so I can take the streetcar (once it's working) or the bus (until the streetcar is up) to get to Tulane. I would have liked something like laundry facilities on site or a parking space, but I'll gladly accept being two blocks from Magazine street and three blocks from the Trolley Stop, especially considering the price we're paying.

We go to sign the lease tomorrow, and we'll start moving in after a couple of weeks, with the view in mind to start living there shortly after the beginning of August.
