I know some SCA players too, but I primarily do Dagorhir, which is a full-contact combat LARP, based on both pre-gunpowder historical periods (Vikings, for example) and Tolkien-esque fantasy. It's pretty fun, I've been in for almost 12 years. Lots of interesting folk. We go to faires sometimes too, either as employment or just for fun.

My name, Raspberri, is a play on my LARP character's name, because I'm basically a huge geek. Great story, I know.
Oh yes, I'm glad too. For awhile I was getting too comfortable in my overweight skin and that really scared me. I'm ready to be happy and love myself completely again.
It was particularly moving going to the Arizona. The navy vessel before the one I took had about 10 seamen in it and they left flowers at the wall and on the water.
