First off, shouts go out to KatieOkieDokie , Modvayne , PunkNiteMike , and avidity for wishing me a happy b-day 
(it touches me - especially since none of my blood relatives even called - and its the only type of hoopla im getting for my b.d.)
( I am still sorry that I did not get a chance to hang out with yas at the brewery - i feel bad that I cannot even drive to places beause I get lost too easily -- i even had my costume ready too)
Job wise---- I did go in (which was my intention - so I didnt burn a bridge with CBS) - I explained the situation with school to the CBS rep - and they told me that the regular supervisor isnt there until next week - so they cannot be really sure that the overtime in that area is "not regular" -- I have to play that by ear.
On that note -- my instructor NEVER replied and NEVER talked to me about the e-mails. Im to the point I dont know. Test was today -- luckily I got there on time. HOWEVER, the test was set up to be a dominoe effect: he made one problem be used for at least 5-6 other problems -- so if you got the first part wrong- all the other ones that were involved with it will be wrong too. I dont think that is fair - but that is just me.
BTW- my virgin phone is broken.
I tried turning it on this morning- and while it made the sounds and the outside screen turned on-- the inside one was pitch black.
So, I call Virgin's phone number (and after many minutes trying to get the right word to the automated system to make it connect me to a human being) - and they tell me that since I bought it 9/30/2007, it is covered by a 30 day warranty with Walmart.
I go to Walmart-- and they tell me that their policy is specifically 15 days. I told them what Virgin said --- the manager made some calls -- and then returned telling me that there was nothing they could do. I got manager's name and store # and went home and called Virgin.
I explained the situation to Virgin, and they insist that Walmart is in the wrong - and I gave them the name and store number (and I kept telling them I wanted to give it to them -- even if they only throw it away -- but the lady claimed that this is not the first time that Walmart hasn't done things right. She explained that Walmart's been telling ppl that they get 10$ worth of time- when they purchase a phone HOWEVER - Virgin stated they only give $2.50 - and that there have been a LOT of Walmart customers yelling at Virgin because of the misleading information.
ANYWAYS.... My phone is still broken..... HOWEVER..... Virgin is sending me a replacement phone via FedEx (2-3 days) and all I got to do is send back the old phone. AND -- get this... The person told me to call Virgin when I want to activate the new phone -- AND get connected to the returns/exchanges section -- and they will credit my account for all the ringtones I bought -- to be put towards the new phone!!!!
So, while I will be without a cellphone for a few days, at least Im getting a replacement.
While I am happy I have a job now (I needed to have a job--- I was running low on funds and well.... its always a nice thing to have the rent paid and whatnot
) -- I wish - sort of - that I didnt have to work tonite so I could do something(anything) to celebrate my birthday.
I guess if I fart loud enough I could pretend I was blowing out candles on a cake --- then again, if I used a fart to blow out candles -- I think I might end up becoming a flamethrower
I know one thing for sure : after this week is over and I get a chance to do something (even if it is a 6 pack at home since I can definitely find my way back from Walmart) -- maybe it will be twofold-- clelbrating- as well as taking a gigantic SIGH from all this stress.
