He really does sound like a wonderful man. It's really sad and disgusting that he is being ignored and not recognized for all of his admirable qualities just because he is older. I'm sure it meant so much to have you reach out to him like you did.

You're so lucky to be able to draw on the wisdom of your grandpa.. I never knew either of my grandfathers. I'm sure I'm less of a person for not having had access to their wisdom.
