listening to typing
so i've become an overachiever. this is strange for me because i was always that kid that got by on the skin of her teeth. i basically didn't do anything outside of classwork in high school. while this worked in math and science (a's and b+'s in honors classes) i always failed english and history. my senior year i had to go to summer school for english in order to get my diploma. it's not that i couldn't do the work, it's that i chose not to for various reasons.
fast forward to now:
i have a 3.89 cum gpa and my semester average last semester was a 3.94. i am part of the 2 year college honor society PTK and colleges all over the country are trying to recruit me; cornell, sarah lawrence, rit, and st. thomas aquinas are a few. this is something completely new. i have proof of how intelligent i am and it really gives a boost to the self esteem. i feel great.
