so, i bought my dog Loki, from a guy, in a park for 20 dollars. he is a rotweiler, who came from a cop, who breeds rots, and like most cops was kind of an asshole. he gave Loki to a family who lived next door, because he has an over bite, and made his other puppies look less perfect.
but he did this about a month too soon. puppies learn lots of important lessons from their litter mates, and there mother in the first 2 months. things like sharing, what biting means, how hard to bite, that kind of dog stuff. well, it's taken me 3 years to get this dog to where most of the time he will give me things that he really doesn't want to give up.
i can't even count the number of times Loki's bitten me, and made holes in me, over bones he digs up in other dog's yards, and fancy treats he finds while we are on walks. my friend rich tells people i have it in for myself, and enjoy pain because i date red heads, and own a rotweiler.
but Loki's smart, and very charming. so, i've kept working with him, and i think he is starting to come around. he knows his left, from his right. he's learning what "heal" means finally, and this morning i took him for a walk up a mountain road, that has horses, at a house, about half way to the top, and my dog sat perfectly still, and watched the horses without freaking out, or even moving for like 5 minutes. that's a long time for my dog to pay attention to any 1 thing, not to mention the not moving.
anyway, i'm so thankful that i kept trying because he really is turning into this happy, well ajusted animal, that makes me think i'm not such a fuck myself, because hey, look what i did.

Thank you for your message about my feet - the tattooing was incredibly painful, but it wasn't hard to find an artist who would do it, in fact it was basically the second person I asked (the first person was rude and I didn't like him).
