I am truly, totally from the bottom of my soul disgusted about the fact that poisonous crude oil has beeen spewing into the gulf of mexico for over a month. I read a report that estimated that the oil could spew for decades before it runs out.

I have a friend who took an old diesel mercedes benz and transformed it into a veggie mobile. He bought a kit and tranformed the engine into a biodiesel. He goes around to restaurants and collects their used fryer grease and transforms it into biodiesel. The by product of the refining process is glycering, aka, soap. It smells like french fries when he drives by. The engine emissions have no harmful side effects. Can't find recycled veggie oil, just fill it with regular old diesel. There is a recycled biodiesl station down in green valley.

We don't need oil. Yes there will be negative consequences to the economy, big business, politics etc, ect ect. Some withh find themselves belly up while others make millions. Yada, yada, yada. The economy changes everyday and keep moving on.

Sun and wind can be used as sources of power that don't need to be produced or mined, just harvested. I'm not afraid of a potential air or sunlight leak.

Please do your part to cut your energy expenditure, while exploring and supporting alternative, clean energy sources. You owe it to your planet, your children, your health and your peace of mind.

Your passion is well-directed, as the struggle to wean ourselves of our addiction to oil is a noble one.

I think about how our pevious administration demonized Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. Yet his government owned CITGO provides low cost heating oil in my own state of New York for the poor among us. Heaven forbid companies like BP would ever do something like that.

Just goes to show that our government's interests and agenda aren't necessarily the same interests as the American people have.
