I hear you about Ellison. Have you tried to explain to him about death, both pets and humans? Is he too young to try to prepare for these kinds of losses? I'm sure Annette and I ran acroos the same dilemma, but I honestly don't remember how we handled it and how old our kids were when we felt we had to talk t them about those things. I'm sure you'll do what's best for Ellison. You have great parental instincts. I've observed the two of you long enough to be sure of that.
