GWAR was playing the Sounds of the Underground Tour that's been going on about a month. It's been mostly a big metal and hardcore fest with names under the Ozzfest radar. I actually posted an event on it in the DFW group months ago, since March or early April to be exact.
The only Straight Edge band that played the entire tour was Throwdown, but they've been really playing down sXe because--according to Madball's merch guy--"they don't want to alienate new audiences." So that's their excuse for a more numetal-ish sound and alienating the crowd that they started with, which is the enthusiastically Straight Edge hardcore crowd.
