my mom and step-dad were both divorcees when they got together. they were married for a few years, but divorced. they then got back together when I was about 12 or 13. they've been together ever since, but never married (mostly because of their distrust of legalities of marriage). the entire time, my step-dad has been "Dad" to me because it's the only dad I've really had.
most people would say that this family stucture is unorthodox, and others would say your's is too. but it's civil; a lot more than what I can say about mine.
The "stick" is crazy! I've always wanted to try one out to see what they are like.
Divorce is always hard on the children and it makes it even harder for them if the two parents hate one another. So it's nice to see that some parents stay cool with each other for the sake of the kids.
I think that's awesome about your parents !! Most of my friends with divorced parents can't be in the same city with eachother.

My former band, Ethereal, played live a few times with 99 Names of God back in 2001. It's good to know that they're still around. However, I'd classify their musick as sounding a bit more like Holland's The Gathering than computer rock with all of the experimental music that's being created with and performed live these days with laptops.
You were 10 times more photogenic in your graduation photos than I was in mine. I looked like I was on drugs. The ceremony was retarded and it took all fucking day. Afterwards, though, I was showered with gifts. I guess that there's a good side and a bad side to everything.

i think that it is only natural that they have a good relationship because they do have children together. that's just my opinion. i come from a totally different place. my parents were married for 23 years until my father passed away and now i have a step-father. so how is work??
