Well I ordered my new skates today. I was going to order the Riedell Wicked setup, which included some bad ass boots, a lightweight alumninum plate, and some pretty nice wheels. Here's what that one looked like - Riedell Wicked
When I called Skate Mall to place the order, the guy talked me out of it. He said he is not a big fan of the aluminum plates, and while the boots are good, and the general setup makes it a good skate, he would probably go with something else. He suggested Sunlite plates, which are TONS cheaper, and then said I should call a couple of the girls on the league and see what setups they had. He specifically mentioned Teri, so I called her up and pestered her with skate questions. Ashleigh happened to be there too, so I got double the advice. They suggested pretty much what he had mentioned, which was the 429 Pro Boot with the Sunlite plates. A LOT of girls in my league have the same setup, so I figure if it works so well for them and the salesman is talking me into a LOWER price, it's probably a good deal.
So, I ended up with the 429 Pro Sunlite Hyper package (similar to this one with different wheels and bearings), which is the above mentioned boot and plate, along with a nice pair of Witchdoctor wheels and china bones bearings. The plates, toestops, and wheels will all be blue, and the boot will be black. He's sending them out tomorrow, which means I should have them here by Wednesday. Yay!
On a non-skate related note, I need new music to listen to. Give me your top three favorite artists, and your favorite album from them. I listen to all kinds of stuff, although I'd rather it not be TOO heavy. I like a good growl as much as the next girl, but I'm looking for something a little more mellow

Listening to all sorts of stuff lately. Stonesour - Come What(ever) May
Disturbed - Believe
Iron Maiden - Somewhere In Time
I even dug out the old Black Sabbath albums and some Suicidal Tendencies.
