To clear up some confusion: I didn't make any sandcastles. The competition
happened the day we got here so I probably couldn't have entered anyway, and
it was for people who know what they're doing and have special tools and
stuff. I didn't even bring a bucket or a shovel (or any beach toys for that
matter). Maybe I should try to make something. I'm sure you would love to
see my handiwork. I could never make a sand Annie though. I don't want to
tarnish her lovely image (barf). I could probably make a cool Link from
Zelda... yeah, that's the ticket.
Also to clear up dem_z's confusion (L7rules is emailing me comments) there
is sadly no sudoku game for GBA that I know of. That would be the best.
That's kind of a "too good to be true" thing maybe. I bet there is one in
Japan though. Maybe I could find a rom.
So I couldn't sleep for a while last night thanks to some cherry coke. I've
started a couple farms in my new Harvest Moon. My brain blanked naming the
first one so I called it the "Zelda" farm, but then I realized my idiocy and
named the next one the "Anniemal" farm. Duh. Like a modern pop twist on
George Orwell or something. Zelda farm did abysmally because I wasn't making
any money and couldn't buy a brush for my new horse (Timo) or buy any decent
crops. Then I figured out to pick blue grass and bamboo shoots on the
mountain and ship those for quick cash.
Anyway, all boring game talk aside, the weather was pretty good today and we
did some beaching and pooling. It did rain a little, later in the afternoon,
but not for long. I was inside by then. I went to lunch on my own at
Café Solé and had a veggie burger, and some delicious
chocolate cake with buttercream icing and some cinnamon apple herb tea for
dessert.
This evening we dined at the Iguana Grill which I love for their fabulous
french fries (called Texas Toothpicks) but the quesadilla was disappointing.
There was all this watery oily stuff on the bottom of the plate, I guess
from the tomatoes, which made it all gooey and gross. And too much cheese.
Mom drank but she mostly behaved... I hate when she drinks. I mean, she
never does, and she never gets plastered when she does because she never
drinks a lot, but still. Don't like it. I'm no fun I guess.
Then we came home and I just sat around playing game boy. Actually I had
started the Palace of Winds in Zelda before we left so I finished that off
(I'd left it on sleep mode while we ate, oh God. But if you've played that
dungeon you know that it would suck to turn it off before you get any warp
tiles, which was the case for me.)
I'm bored. It's Wednesday and we leave Saturday. It's already Wednesday?
That's actually a long time. Hopefully the coming days won't be too boring.
