I've realized it's not really a girlfriend I have been wanting. I just want to have sex. I've started to truly get into not giving a fuck anymore. Yea I'm kind of heavy/overweight. Personality and confidence take the cake when it comes to attraction. I actually approached a couple of girls on tuesday at the bar I frequent - with a sort of wingman - just to see if they wanted to play pool. One of them didn't (which worked out better) and I ended having a pretty good conversation, "invited" to a birthday party and got a phone number - which was more for getting said lady to come join a team for trivia at a british pub here in Rochester.

New postdoc in lab. I can't believe how open and nice I am to new faces outside of my lab but when a new face shows up its like - what is this person going to fuck up? - terrible attitude on my part. No idea what his project entails so I guess I can't get too worked up yet.

Northeast regional beard and moustache championships this saturday. Bought my ticket and can't get because it was randomly decided sometime last week to have a stag for my friend this saturday perfectly overlapping with the competition - great. Still try and help out but seems like everything is all tied down and the only help will be when someone needs something on the fly during the competition. Hopefully I will have fun at the stag while this time I got invited to the wedding - the last three I've been to I have not been invited - but I sure I really won't know anyone since all the kids I would know are in the wedding party.

H2Oi is the end of next month. that will be fun. I don't care to write anything else today.
