I agree. There are so many more important things to focus on than what consenting adult do in private. If it's none of your business, butt out, I say.

Music is one of the best ways to bond with your children. While I took great interests in my daughters' athletic prowess, My older one was a vollyball player and my younger one was a quite accomplished softball player, music was paramount in breaking generational barriers.

It's heartwarming to read that you have a close relationship with your son.

Yeah, but in his case he blamed all his farts on the cats.

BTW, Merlin is looking adorable. Good thing huh, or he wouldn't have survived puppyhood!

It worked perfectly - thank you!

I agree 100% with the books and films that you mentioned. Not only classics, but absolute essentials! It saddens me when I encounter an intelligent member of younger generations who has not been exposed to great films, literature or music and therefore has no proper perspective from which to appreciate (or not) current artistic endeavors.

When a twenty-something aquaintance informs me (and this has happened) that World War Z is the best book they've ever read and that Transformers is the hands down best film of the year I begin to worry a bit about the future course of our society.
