So I did.
Tonight I had a photojournalism assignment at the state fair. It was pretty small, but I took as many pictures as I could. They all look pretty generic. I'm pretty sure everyone else on the assignment got the same pictures I did, but I haven't even looked at anything since I got home. The instructor made it a point that part of this assignment was to step out of our comfort zones. I like my comfort zone. I don't like to leave it. It takes so so so much out of me.
After the rest of the group left, I stuck around to get a few more pictures. Now I haven't paid attention to pro wrestling since the days of Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, Junkyard Dog, Randy Savage, etc. Even then, I wouldn't have called myself a fan. It was just something to watch when nothing else was on TV or my brother refused to turn the channel.
But as I was getting ready to leave the fair, I noticed a small wrestling ring... and some small wrestlers. I had to investigate, and I was not disappointed. I probably took a couple hundred pictures, and stuck around long enough to get my picture taken with them afterwards.
These guys work really hard and they put on a great show. They're seriously badass.
