I felt it after the second scratch - that's when I verbally told him to stop. And then he did the rest of them so fast together that it was numb. I had no idea it was as bad as it was until I saw it in the mirror, though. That's when it freaked me out... when it started hurting. It's like when you get a deep cut with a knife, it just doesn't hurt that much until your body's registered it... unlike a tiny pinprick which hurts immediately! It's just horrible...
