Why am I so bad at talking to women when many of my friend are women? Why do I think I know what I'm doing when I'm really just a ball of awkward?

Also, I thought the skinny dude body type was in style. I think most Northwest women like that gruff, manly, bearded, mountain man look. A look and physique I will never achieve.

Haha, you just have to run into a girl who's just as awkward as you are. I don't look like I'd be timid, but I have the same problem. I couldn't talk to a cute guy/girl without freezing up and making an ass of myself. You just have to make yourself do it anyway. You'll laugh about it later and the girl might actually think it's adorable that you're so nervous.

I have the same problem. One thing that helps me is to not give a shit and to talk with low expectations. When I have talked to a girl like she is another person and not a person I am trying to be with my results tend to be better.
