No, it's not the KKK. Although I'd like to know how the KKK ended up with their outfits. The pics are of Holy Week in Southern Spain (Seville). During Easter there are many different Catholic Brotherhoods, each belonging to a different cathedral, that take to the streets to show their dedication to God. Each Brotherhood wears a different color combination of what we Americans know as the stereotypical Klan outfit. They walk the streets from the morning till nigh, some are over 1,000 strong. Each brotherhood has two "floats" or "pasos" one carries their Virgin, the other is of a station of the cross. They can weigh up to a ton and are carried by up to sixty people. This all goes back to the sixteen hundreds. I'll try to post more pics. The whole thing is as sureal as it looks on the pics.
Also loved the Spain photos! 4, 7, 9 really stand out.
saw the Matrix also. Thought the same thing about the rave scene. Not to say I thought the whole movie sucked, but the war cry/overly sex charged mtv video dance party was a bit weak. And to top it off with the deep thoughtful conclusions that "some things change, and others dont"....
