hehe...glad you liked the Speedo pics. When me and my friend took those pictures we were laughing so hard I'm surprised we got it in there with straight faces. Not to mention the poor old man who got suckered into taking the picture at the beach was completely confused as to what was so funny because everyone else on the beach was wearing them and he didn't see it as a laughing matter.
I've never read The Sun Also Rises but I looked it up and it sounds like a good book, if anything I've never read Hemingway before but always wanted to. So I'm definitely going to have to read it before I go on my trip, thanks.
So he used to say Valentimes...haha..that is kind of funny. I used to say and spell it like that too, but I was in grade school at the time, so I think I was still at that age were it passed as cute. I definitely do at least a little something and sometimes a lot of something for Valentines day when I have a girlfriend but definitely agree with you, that if your waiting until Valentines day each year for your one day of romance in the relationship, things are kind of hurting. Romance is definitely an everyday, any day kind of thing.
Hmmmas far as what I do to be romantic well this might seem a little cheesy, but one time I rented a nice hotel room, filled it with candles and took a bunch of rose petals and made a little path from the hotel room door to the bed, all over the bed and then another little path over to the bathroom and sprinkled them on top of some water in the tub and then placed candles all around the tub (just a tad clich I know, but still pretty sweet). Then I ordered some wine and later a big ice cream Sunday (to be eaten in the bathtubdont ask me why but its fun to share an ice cream Sunday and a bottle of wine in the bathtub). I also brought a small stereo and put on some soft music like Dave Mathews Band, Sade, Enigma, Ludacris, Gwar..hehe. Just kidding about the last two. However, thats definitely not an everyday occurrence, and this year my V-day will probably consist of going out with the rest of the guys drinking beer and bowlinghaha! Hope your Valentines is better than mine
Sugar, and I even almost lined up a job back in Boston for when I finish! Maybe I'll leave, go through withdrawal, then hurry back. Who knows! But, we're probably about on the same time line - this is my 4th year here, and I have at least another year and a half to finish my graduate program.
Romance... I turn so cynical sometimes cuz all I can think about right now is that I pay attention to that person!
I agree wityh you. Valentine's, like a lot of pre-fab holidays, are there to sell crap. I hate fake flowers and cheap candy, and even typical roses, for that matter. I like different stuffs...anyone who can wow me with originality has my heart on V-Day, or any other day. To be "romantic" is, for me, an endeavor of creativity and sexiness.
I am going to see some SF Indie Filmn Fest flicks that nite...Anyone have any ideas of good, decent places to eat in the Mission? Anyone else checking out the Indie Fest Fri and Sat?
I'm not romantic @ all!!!!!!!!! SORRY!
Anyway, NO I only went there to shop! You're funny though.........can you imagine me packing it all up in a matter of days? Well, I start the job tomorrow.....I'll see how that goes.......that'll be the straw breaker!!!!!!
Wish me luck!!!!!!!!
When i know somebody, really know them, it's easier. Favorite restaraunt, favorite c.d., a goofy foto of of me naked, favorite flower, gift certificate for victorias secret..(imagination with known factors). Someone new, dinner and a movie (surprise if possible), nice card and a tasteful bouquet of seasonal flowers, gift certificate to a salon...? *sigh* ...........
THANKS, I'm gonna need that!
I got a new bed set.......thought it would brighten up this bedroom a bit........of course it hasn't changed my attitude about being here. *sigh*
I'll be ok, I just need time to adjust to all of this.......but, I'm not sure if I'll get use to driving everyday.......these people here are terrible drivers. *blah* I mean I was so pissed off earlier driving home........geez, I swear people are lucky I don't carry a gun.
you know, for me it all depends on how much i really care about someone. i mean if i'm really passionate about them i'll do anything. but what i do most is try to listen to what she says. and act on that. so few people really listen anymore. but if i know someone or i've tried to know them then i'll know what to do. so i guess the answer to your question is; it depends on who i'm with and what is romantic to them. but again i think the most romantic thing you can do is prove that you really hear what they are saying. of course that's just my opinion i could be wrong so when do we get to see more of you?
thanks! its nice to know I wasn't quite as goofy looking in those things as I originally thought, despite the butt white thighs I was sportin..hehe. Im definitely with you on the big bellied, hairy guy's not looking so cool in the Speedos. The really sad thing is those are usually the guys wearing them... Sounds like your Valentines day is going to be kind of like mine, well minus the bowling and beer part...
psst, shhhh....I'm here!
Let's just say if I can be all up on the internet 3 hours into my new job.....it can't be all that bad!!!!!!
I'll fill ya in more later!
Have a good day luv~
I don't like ass kissers! I have no respect for them......I like people to keep it real, no matter how unprofessional they are! lol, call me crazy!
When I said I got a new bed set it wasn't a bed it was a new duvet cover, curtains & shams. To give the room some color. I like being in NY because you dont need a car even though I have one. Actually it was a pain in the ass to have one because I had to keep it in storage & it was $300 a month just to let it sit there. That's more than my actual car payment, which as of yesterday I only have 3 more to make until the car is mine all mine!!!! Yeah!!!! That's something to be excited about!!!! I'll actually own something!!!
Oh well, I do believe lunch is coming up..........& I think I'll go on it too instead of sitting here trying to stay awake.
high, how's things? just saw a band tonight. don't be alarmed but the singer is amazing, she's funny, talanted, and strikingly beautiful. i wish she were mine... or do i? be careful what you wish for, right? anyway i hope you have a great valantines. sweet dreams.
