I love love LOVE Egon Schiele. I was able to go see some of his work when they had his etchings on display at the Art Museum in Portland. It was amazing.
I totally agree about Pee-Wee's Big Adventure! I saw it again recently because my mother in law got it for the kids to watch, and I was amazed at what a great film it is! I loved it the first time I saw it, but I love it even more now.
Speaking of Schiele and childhood films, my other favorites, Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Modigliani-
They were playing Ferris over at the Laurelhurst last week, so I went. When Ferris is talking to Cameron/his dad on the phone, while sitting at his desk, he's coloring in a Modigliani naked woman, and then later at the museum they see another Modigliani.
And when the nurse who likes to fuck arrives at the door, the guy on her right is Louie Anderson, the comedian.
I totally would have sat with you but I didn't know it was you until I came home and checked out who signed up to go to that event and was like hey, I think I saw her there. Sucks for me cause I would have loved to meet you.
Favorite quote:
Simone: I know you're right, Pee-wee, but...
Pee-wee: But what? Everyone I know has a big but. C'mon, Simone, let's talk about YOUR big but.

So, just remember, there's things about me you don't know, Gigi.
Things you wouldn't understand.
Things you couldn't understand.
Things you shouldn't understand.
You don't want to get mixed up with a guy like me.
I'm a loner, Gigi.
A rebel.
