I submitted my reserch proposal for my honors contract just in time, and then got a call from the director of the honors program for a meeting. He said I needed to sign up for the honors program, and go for an honors diploma. Basically more work, but better credentials. It turns out I met the criteria, and might even be eligible for a scholarship. Now, I would do this for free, just to be a better person, but now there might be money involved too? I'm feeling pretty happy right now. I won't know for a couple of weeks if my proposal was accepted, and I have no idea when I'll hear anything on the scholarship; but still, this is a great opportunity! Of course immediately afterward, I sat in texting friends in an empty classroom for about 20 minutes before I realized that I didn't have that class today. Perhaps I have to balance my smart moments with some dumb ones.haha
