It's a familiar place, and I think by nature people are drawn to that. Don't beat yourself up too badly. While you may need to move on and get past things, I'd imagine that she's still a pretty wonderful person that you want to have in your life at least in the capacity of good friend. Which of course makes the place you're in that much tougher - there's incredible temptation to fall in love all over again... such a terrible shame you couldn't just turn a key and lock your heart in place so it didn't keep leaping out of your chest when you least expect it, eh? Listen to me, all rambly and stuff... seriously though, don't feel like an idiot. I've been in that place, man, you'll get through it and be fine and in the end that which did not destroy you will have made you stronger.
