on another topic, let me tell you about me and RIFTS.

I've been a Palladium fan for over a decade. I caught my first glimpse at Rifts and feel in love maybe 8 years ago.
I bought the main book. Made a wide assortment of intricately thought out charicters. Had freinds who liked the universe as well. They made their own charicters. I think we finally played one session. but never again. I found Rifts Japan and re-fell in love. made all these awsome charicters, never played them. Saw Phase World, bought it, more charicters, never played it.
I still pull out the books once in a while. I still make the charicters and I still love to do it, but I have to convince myself that im gonna play the charicter, so I call up a friend, ask him to run a campain, he says yes, he doesnt mean it, I know he doesnt mean it, he knows I know that he doesnt mean it, I fall back to my hopelessly optimistic side and somewhat brainwash myself into thinking that it "could" happen, then i spend the next day or so creating some grand work of charicter building. Whew!
So i guess thats what happens when you come to love something but never fully follow through. It becomes years of pleasant fantasy but nothing more.

I'm gettin some chocolate milk.
