I've been trying to get to France for about a decade too. Though it isn't home for me, I can't believe it is continually a dream deferred. Aw, well, there's always wine... wink

That is, in fact, "boobtacular."

Howdy!
I was glad to see that you were still in my dusty lil' box of friends! I'm also glad to see that you are stateside these days! Hope you are digging it. Sorry to hear about your tax woes. Had a few of those myself. I had to shell out $5000 (which I always have to spare!) because I didn't report some money I got from my mom when she DIED! I'm very thankful that they waited 2 years to inform me of this, so the amount doubled with interest. I'm hoping I'll get some decent cash back, as I haven't been working since October. It was my own doing. Good idea, bad timing. Enough about me. Glad to see you are on here and doing well. I will have to take a week to read 4 years of blogs to catch up. Yeah, I never thought that I would be here again. I'm wondering who wanted me back. I'm also wondering if this is some kooky marketing ploy to get me to sign up again. Time will reveal all! Have a good one. I'm off to convince myself to sleep.

It doesn't feel like it was quick to me, but I guess it wasn't too long, really. The new place should be fun, some of the menu is pretty boring but they're letting me add some fun things of my own, too.

No I don't miss the 'hood even though Howard street is close.

A girl a while back was trying to say something about how Detroit is almost the same Latitude as Chicago and how people act confused

crafty fuckers...

but hey, at least you're here to talk to until my 3 months lapses... (or I get zotted or whatever they're calling it now)...

mulhollanddrive:
Glad to hear you are making music. I told the Blues Hammer guys that I wasn't into it. Now I can go back to my "solo career". So, I guess you are no longer running into Andy McCoy these days, as I don't believe he's allowed into the country....or so I heard.
mulhollanddrive:
I met Mike back in '04. He was here at SXSW doing a publicity tour. They had an album coming out domestically, and were planning a tour. Someone from their label said that there were problems getting visas for some members of the band. Truth be told, I don't listen to very much RnR either. I reverted back to old blues and things of that ilk. However, if you find yourself on Myspace, check out a band called Flash Boys. Really cool glam punk from here.
I wanted to run for my life, but I didn't. It boggles the mind that someone who appears to have it together can live in filth....literally! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
mentalrage:
That made me laugh biggrin Quick question for you, have you got a compilation called Emerging Organisms? I'm sure I remember you mentioning it being rather good or is that my warped psyche playing tricks on me again. shocked

I am doing pretty good, it's just amazing how much worse it is then I had imagined.

On the surface it seemed so simple to work around but in practice.. holy shit.
runelateralus:
Those are epic! Good lord.
