You should try taking a couple of philosophy courses at McGill if you can, they are really rather excellent and turn your brain in ways you never thought possible.
I keep them on my schedule (as a minor) to keep myself from dumbening as it seems like most of what we do in my major is just rant about what we've seen on tv (ironically I don't watch tv).
The thing about pop culture is that it can turn into elite culture. So five hundred years from now, their version of "olde English" will be OH EM GEE! Isn't that sad?
