Poetry! World Poetry Day is March 21.... and I am actually requesting poems from people to publish in The Link. Would you care to contribute? Or to send a poem or two for Black Heart (which I think shall make an exception for some poets on that day of days)?
I got your review but haven't edited it yet. I will get to that shortly, I hope.
I liked the first two. The Link basically will print anything, so it could be erotic or not. Hopefully we will have some interesting graphical layout to make it eye-catching, too.
I've been thinking about it for a while and I actually emailed the prodution staff to see if it would be realistic to try to put together and print an sg anthology. Doubt anything will come of it, but worth a try. If not then an online version should be pretty easy to put together, get people to submit through upc. I'll tell you what they say once I get a reply
I cant wait around forever to be pink...ya know? I made more attempts to set up shoots and was brushed off....even without the 3 month wait Im still waiting almost three months. Its just frustrating ya know?
That line is actually an allusion to a poem by George Elliott Clarke called "Peggy's Cove" that I liked a lot.
Peggy's Cove
In pitched night fog, I stagger upon Fear--
Cabals of rock, wreckage, sobs of wet death,
Caterwauled epics of drowning, a salt
Nightmare--this dun, Expressionist Stonehenge
Of hunched and broken anarchic boulders
Heaped against the fierce, mad, dark Atlantic
By homicidal force that drove them there
In dumb, impaling anger. I tremble;
A blind roar suffocates the stars, a black
Hatred lathers this grotesque beach and howls.
I hear groanings like bones being smashed--and cries
Like infants hurled head-first against brick walls.
