By this time tommorrow, I'll be on the road to Illinois, with my Brother, for a short, three-day visit with my Dad, Stepmom, and my Sisters.
Usually, I don't look forward to going up to Illinois. My Dad and I have sort of a shaky relationship from his past treatment of me and my siblings (long story that I rather not go into right now), but it's been recently that I started the long, slow reconciliation process with him. (You can't go on hating forever...you gotta forgive, heal and move on)
As I said, I usually don't look forward to it....but it's been so long since i've had any real time off (last August,as a matter of fact. Almost a full year!). I am just so looking forward to getting out on the road, and away from my usual drudgery.
I really need this! I just hope there's no trouble this week.
